Firefly

I just finished watching the original pilot episode of Firefly (entitled "Serenity") on the first DVD (via Netflix).

How gratifying to see a Science Fiction series about which all the superlatives are true.

Much more later...

I agree. And wait till you see Jaynestown.

I probably won't see the movie opening weekend, though.

Have you checked out the following bit of news?

I'm apparently now on the press list for the Dallas viewing next Tuesday.

Oh! Me too! (I'm working my way through the box set in preparation for the press/blogger screening next Tuesday in Waukesha (aka "Milwaukee").)

I almost signed up for the blogger screening, but I have soccer and scouting conflicts that night.

We should have a Texas blogger event like that here in Alpine! (Sounds of crickets chirping) Hello? Anybody? LOL! ;^D

SciFi has been re-running that series. It's amazingly good, and I had NEVER heard of it before. Tangent alert: Was the season finale of BSG unbelieveably good, or WHAT?! That's working it's way up into my favorite sci-fi series of all time. Quickly. And I'm positively addicted to sci-fi.

I broke down and bought the whole series, it included not shown episodes.

I sure want to catch the movie and hope the SciFi channel picks up the series and restarts it. ;-)

We bought the dvd set a few months ago after seeing a vhs of the pilot (we don't have cable). I think we've watched every episode at least three times -- Saturday we're taking both sons and both their girlfriends (a triple date!) to watch the film. Can't wait.

And, oh yeah, don't miss Mosquito

Hi Chris, I'm glad to hear you liked Mosquito. I had the opportunity to play the character "Book" in Mosquito. (The angry priest.) We had a great group of actors, crew, director, etc. to work with and the skills of the music composer and special effects/computer people was amazing. We'd love to hear any feedback you and others might like to share. Thanks.
