I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream

Blue Bell's Tin Roof Ice Cream is simply the best ice cream flavor in the world.

Followed closely by Baskin Robbins' Chocolate Fudge.

Email me or leave a comment on your favorites and why. I'll expand on this.

Tin Roof's pretty good, but Fudge Brownie Nut is the ultimate.

Thanks for the tip on "Tin Roof." Normally I avoid Blue Bell because I despise their saccharine "just like the good ol' days" ads on radio. The last time I looked at their ingredients and I think they may be the most chemical-enhanced ice-cream on the market. I have no idea whether these chemicals are at all bad for you but they're hardly something that Mom would have been throwing into her ice-cream-maker while making the kids home-made ice-cream like in their radio spots. Plus, the Blue Bell ice cream I've had has had a slightly medicinal under-flavor, and I suspect the chemicals are to blame. In any event, even tho' their left-wingers, I'm very fond of Ben & Jerry's "In the Mood" (or is it "Mood-Ring") ice-cream. It certainly elevates my mood. I wish that B & J would bring back the "Festivus" ice-cream they used to put out for Festivus, but discontinued. After the Airing of Grievances and the Feats of Strength, B & J's Festivus ice cream used to really hit the spot.

First, Blue Bell Banana Split.

Second, Dreyer's Girl Scouts Samoas Cookie.

Years ago in Maine I used to get Steve's Ice Cream - Chunky Chocolate - Chocolate Mouse. Aside from the perfect name, it wass premium chocolate ice cream with chunks of chocolate, and chunks of frozen chocolate mouse.

These day's it's Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia.

Bilwick, you're thinking too much. It's ice cream, just enjoy.

In particular, enjoy the Blue Bell Butter Pecan, or Caramel Fudge Turtle, or White Chocolate Almond. Or the Fresh Peach when it's in season.

Well, I was always partial to Haagen Daz Honey. Also, Cherry Garcia. Breyer's vanilla. Carvel's soft serve vanilla, too, come to think of it.

Blue Bell does not make a bad flavor, but Natural Vanilla Bean is the Ice Cream of all Ice Creams IMO.

Blue Bell makes a divine black walnut ice cream which has not been available for a couple of years thanks to reduced black walnut crops. My grief knows no bounds. Self-comforting here with Blue Bell Coffee ice cream.

Of course, Moolenium Crunch is the best Blue Bell flavor!

For quality? Well, I have to say that Haagen comes in with best texture and Swiss Almond Vanilla the best flavor...

Bring back Chocolate Decadence!!
It was the perfect ice cream... and now it's gone.
Bluebell Dutch Chocolate is the best alternative, but Chocolate Decadence was the pinnacle. Alone on the lofty peak of perfection, with only a stray wisp of cloud for company. {sigh}

You are all wrong. It is Black Walnut but I understand that it is not sold in this area for some dumb reason!!! Tin Roof Sundae comes in a close second!
